My rates, billing, and reimbursement

It’s important to me that you feel fully informed about the costs of counselling, including my rates, how payment works, and how reimbursement through insurance may work.

If anything is unclear or you have any questions, please feel free to reach out directly. I’m always happy to help.

I offer in person sessions in Vancouver, and virtually across BC and Saskatchewan.

I offer a session rate of $160 CAD for 50-minute appointments. All new folks seeking services are encouraged to reach out for a no-cost 20 minute virtual consultation. At that time we can get a sense of how we might work together and can go from there. I welcome any questions, ideas, and concerns during consultation.

After sessions I provide a receipt to be submitted to your insurance provider for reimbursement, depending on your plan. Please note that we don’t offer direct billing at this time. I would encourage having a look at extended benefits to know what might be covered. Payment is due at the end of each session in full with credit card or e-transfer.

Everything you need to know at a glance

20 minute introduction call

I offer all new clients a free 20-minute consultation so we can get to know each other, make sure we’re a good fit, and address any questions or concerns you may have before getting started.

50-minute individual session

My standard fee is $160 CAD for a 50-minute individual therapy session. The same rate applies to both in-person and virtual counselling, including evening and weekend appointments. I do offer sliding scale rates, please reach out to discuss.

80-minute individual session

My standard fee is $240 CAD for an 80-minute individual therapy session. The same rate applies to both in-person and virtual counselling, including evening and weekend appointments.

Payment

Our booking system makes payment simple and straightforward. Payment is due at the end of each session and can be made by e-transfer or credit card. At this time, I do not offer direct billing.

Reimbursement through insurance

After each payment, I provide a receipt that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. I recommend checking with your provider in advance to confirm whether services provided by a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) are covered under your plan.

Cancellation

If you need to cancel or reschedule your session, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. This helps me manage my schedule and make the appointment time available to other clients. If you cancel within 24hours of your appointment you may be charged at full rate.
